The small 3/8" diameter rear pillar is easily hidden under
the narrow 600 series rear tang and the .185 ID is correct for the small diameter 8X36 rear trigger guard screw.
By parting off in the middle, you will have 4 custom length pillars, each with one end having the correct radius to match
the round Remington receiver.
Here the small 3/8" diameter rear pillar provides clearance for an after
market target type trigger.
